Texas Tech Football Head Coach Kliff Kingsbury addressed the media Friday morning about the rumored quarterback situation.
With a second scrimmage this weekend and the season opener against SMU around the corner, Kingsbury says he has some solid freshmen competing for the job.
"Some young guys are getting reps and all are performing well," he said.
Senior Kerry Hyder said he is focused on his job and trusts the quarterback situation will be just fine.
"They are both pretty athletic guys," he said.
The Texas Tech Red Raiders open the 2013 season against the SMU Mustangs August 30 on the road.
