The Texas Tech International Cultural Center hosted their fourth summer exhibition of photographs showing dogs in all of their diversity. This year they added paintings of dogs by artists Liz Yarosz-Ash, Ken Dixon, and Linda Murray.
More than 150 plus breeds recognized by the American Kennel Club do not originate in the United States, which helped give this exhibit that international aspect at the ICC.
Christi Felton, event coordinator at the ICC, said it is a great outreach, because not many people know about the ICC.
"It brings the community out to support animals, and dogs have a special place in people's hearts," Rick Dingus, a professor at the School of Art at Tech, said.
Photographer, writer and author, Christena Stephens, said is was easy deciding what picture to send for the exhibit, because her dog was very photogenic.
Stephens has been featured in the exhibit all four years.
"The visibility you get being a part of the International Cultural Center is great," she said.
