24 Frames: What's a Haboob?

Recently in West Texas some people on Facebook argued the word "haboob" should not be used due its Arabic origin and "sandstorm" should be substituted. 24 Frames wanted to know, would that still be accurate? Is there a difference between a sandstorm and a haboob?

24 Frames: Star Comics and a Brief History of Sequential Art

Media and it's consumption is always changing; in the 80s came the boom of the comic book industry and with all the fanfare of it's arrival also came it's downfall. By the late 90's the industry bottomed out but Star Comics in Lubbock has been through the ups and downs and still remains today. Owner Robert Mora shares the history of his store and in the process gives insight into where comics may go into the future.
